Sherrie Tussler has been the executive director of Hunger Task Force since 1997. She is our organization’s chief leader. She is a decision maker, lobbyist and fund raiser. She serves as our primary spokesperson.
Sherrie is a manager by training, having received a BS in Management from Cardinal Stritch University. Prior work experiences include founding Hope House, a settlement house for the homeless; serving as a victim witness in a sexual assault treatment program and working with adults with serious mental illness.
Sherrie has lived and worked in Milwaukee since 1988. She grew up in a small town in Southeastern Wisconsin. She credits her father with developing her strong work ethic. She credits past employers and cohorts with developing her commitment to justice. Sherrie is a mother to two beautiful people. Her hobby is restoring Victorian houses.
