How You Can Help

We couldn't do it without you!

Preventing hunger today
We couldn't feed the hungry without community support. Dedicated individuals organize food and fund drives in their workplaces and schools.

Congregations, classrooms, employers and families volunteer their time with Hunger Task Force to sort food and prepare it for delivery to the needy.

Funds donated by corporations, foundations and individuals underwrite operating costs, ensuring that our programs always receive our help for free - and in the end, a needy family gets the food they need today.

Ending Hunger Tomorrow
Unlike other food banks, Hunger Task Force was first established to advocate for an end to hunger in our community. Our advocacy work seeks to bring about positive changes in social programs and public policies that exist to help the needy, such as food stamps, summer meals and school meals. These programs "normalize" the way people eat and ultimately reduce the need for charity.

Other Ways to Give
Contact Hunger Task Force for other ways to give, including contributing through workplace giving programs, employer matching gift plans, and tributes in the name of loved ones. Some choose to donate a gift of securities, designate our agency as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, or offer proceeds from a qualified retirement plan. We also receive bequests designating Hunger Task Force as a recipient of part or all of an estate. For more information call Charles Vestal, director of development, at (414) 238-6474 or email charles@hungertaskforce.org.
