Food gifts to Hunger Task Force are appreciated year round, as there is no season for people being hungry. These days it is a year round challenge that our community faces. Your gifts of food to Hunger Task Force will ALWAYS be delivered to the hungry FREE OF CHARGE. We distribute over 8 million pounds of food each year. Here are some of the large community events, which you can contribute to that support Hunger Task Force that take place every year:

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive the second Saturday of May
Opening Day of Summerfest
Opening Day of State Fair
Sunday morning Liturgy for Peace at Irish Fest
German, Polish and Arab World Festivals
Food For Families which takes place from October through December each year

Where and When to Bring Food

Food donations can be dropped off at Hunger Task Force, 201 S. Hawley Court, off the Hawley road exit on I-94 just west of Miller Park. All donations can be made on our back loading dock where a Hunger Task Force staff member will greet you and assist you. If no one is there immediately please come in and we will be happy to assist you.

Hunger Task Force is open to accept food donations Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

Preferred Food Items

Please donate food items that are not close to expiration date and are non-perishable

Fruit and Juice: canned pears, apricots, pineapple and peaches
Breakfast Items: Dry cereal, oatmeal, grits and pancake mixes
Protein: Canned meat, poultry, fish peanut butter, beans, nuts and high-protein main dishes such as chili and stews
Vegetables: Canned corn, green beans, carrots and peas
Baby Items: Powdered or concentrated infant formula (Nestle Good Start), food and diapers
Dinner Items: Pastas, rice (plain or mixes), potato mixes, Macaroni and cheese dinners
Lunch Items: Canned or dry soups (vegetable, beef or chicken) and canned pasta items
