On Wednesday, March 18, Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker joined Palermo Villa Inc. employees to fill bright blue 18-gallon bins with Easter staples—including canned fruits and vegetables, soup, juice and Palermo’s pizza—during Easter Baskets for the Hungry, a program to feed 500 low-income Milwaukee families. Each basket will contains enough food to feed the entire family for a week! Bins were distributed to poor families, FREE of charge, through Hunger Task Force’s network of emergency feeding organizations.
