Food for Families Sponsored by Johnson Controls

Donate food to Hunger Task Force at your favorite grocery store!
Beginning October 1, donate at Sendik's and Sentry stores.
Beginning November 3, donate at Pick 'n Save stores.

Look for those familiar Food for Families barrels at the checkout aisle. Thanks to
Johnson Controls for underwriting another super food drive to benefit 80 pantries, soup kitchens and homeless shelters.

12/12 -- 12/31  Envoy Restaurant and Lounge in the Ambassador Hotel, 2308 W. Wisconsin Ave.  Donate 3 non-perishable food items and receive a coupon for buy one/get one free dinner entree. Please call (414) 345-5015 for more information.

12/15 -- 12/31 GOLDI, 4114 N. Oakland Ave., Help Hunger Task Force & Save! Bring in your donation of 3 non-perishable food items to help our LOCAL communities in need!!!  GOLDI will give you 20% off your HOLIDAY purchase of $200 or more!!!!
(Please check the expiration on your donations.) Together we can make everyone’s Holiday brighter! We know GOLDI customers are very generous, so to return the favor, this special promotion starts now and ends December 31st.  All food donations will go to Hunger Task Force, a local non-profit organization that’s been helping families in need for over 30 years. THE HUNGER TASK FORCE DOES NOT CHARGE ANY FEES TO THOSE IN NEED.


Current Food Drives


11/1 – 12/31  Outpost Natural Foods is hosting  their Holiday Buy-A-Bag program at all three stores to benefit Hunger Task Force.  Any customer can sponsor a $40 bag of groceries by paying just $20. 

11/01 – 12/31  Franks Power Plant
at 2800 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. is discounting cover charges for people who bring in food to donate.

11/08 – 12/31  Whole Foods, 2305 N. Prospect Ave. at North Ave., has a new “Angel Tree” buy-a-bag program with customers paying $10 for nutritious foods and a Whole Foods carrying sack which are donated to the hungry.  Whole Foods also has 4 Food for Families collection barrels in their store’s café and their upstairs and downstairs exits.

11/15 – 1/31  Shambala Center of Milwaukee
is hosting a food drive and asking  members or visitors to bring non-perishable food donations to benefit Hunger Task Force.

11/16 -- 1/2  Bayou Cajun Restaurant & Lounge
at 2060 N. Humboldt Ave.  is hosting “Give a Little, Get a Lot!!”.  With every non-perishable food donation a customer brings,  they will get 1% off their total dining bill, up to 20%. Bring 20 items,  get 20% off your total bill.  Please call (414) 803-7337 for more information.

12/1-12/31 Roots Salon
is hosting a drive where their customers can get 50% off your choice of an eyebrow wax, conditioning treatment, manicure, pedicure, makeup application or eyelash extension with 2 or more non-perishable food items.

12/3 − 12/31 Brewed Café
is hosting a public event on the following Wednesdays: Dec. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. There is a country music theme and anyone bringing a non-perishable food item will be entered into a raffle drawing.
