Food Stamps
FoodShare ... food stamps for Wisconsin residents

What are food stamps?
Food stamps are a federal entitlement program designed to improve the nutrition and health of low-income Americans. In Wisconsin, the food stamp program is named FoodShare. Ultimately, food stamps help reduce hunger and decrease the need for people to utilize emergency feeding programs such as food pantries and meal programs.  Qualified low-income food stamp recipients receive a debit-like benefit card called a "Quest Card." This can be used to purchase food at grocery stores, many convenience stores and even some farmer's markets.

  • Expand client eligibility and benefit levels to meet the needs of low-income households
