Did you know that Milwaukee has the tenth worst child poverty rate in the nation? Over 200,000 participants are enrolled in FoodShare in Milwaukee County. Statewide, 1 in 10 residents lives in poverty. Learn more about hunger and Hunger Task Force’s food distribution here.
Give an hour or a day to help alleviate hunger! Volunteer with a friend to hang signs promoting summer meals, host a food drive, or learn about other volunteer opportunities by attending a Hunger Task Force volunteer orientation or contact Marie Greenfield.
Also, take action online and tell your elected officials to make ending child hunger a priority.
