Right now, 31,000 people a month use Hunger Task Force pantries and 50,000 meals are served monthly at our soup kitchens. In April 2011, Hunger Task Force interviewed pantries affected by one type of cut, the Emergency Food and Shelter Grant Program. We asked “What would a cut mean to you?” Hear firsthand what five pantries—who stand to lose thousands of dollars used to purchase emergency food—have to say about the looming fiscal cut to their programs.
