The 2010 summer meals program ends today, bringing the seventh season of feeding Milwaukee children 18 years and under to a close. Child hunger skyrockets in the summer months due to the lack of school breakfast and lunch that thousands of kids rely on every day during the school year. By providing free nutritious meals all summer long, children are prepared to return to the new school year ready to learn.
