A big thank you to Johnson Controls, FOX 6 and all the great patrons at Summerfest who donated food on opening day and got in to the Big Gig free.

Working together we collected 77,000 pounds of food in only 3 hours! That's 1,000 pounds more than last year.

“We are so grateful to all those who donated,” said Sherrie Tussler, Executive Director of Hunger Task Force.  “We also want to thank everyone at Summerfest, all of the support from Johnson Controls, including their amazing volunteers who helped us all afternoon, and all those at FOX 6.”

“Stomp Out Hunger” offered free admission to patrons who donated three or more non-perishable food items.  Hunger Task Force will deliver all collected food to the hungry free of charge.
