Feeding the Hungry

The Farm is the only urban farm in the state that grows fresh fruits and vegetables for the express purpose of feeding the hungry. Every pound of produce is delivered free of charge to Hunger Task Force’s network of pantries. All the Wisconsin staples are grown, including corn, peppers, green beans, asparagus, apples, pears and cantaloupe—30 types of fruits and vegetables in all!

Quick Fact: Last year the Farm produced 348,615 pounds of Wisconsin produce, the second-highest total in Hunger Task Force’s eight year history at the Farm. It was a big-time yield of fruits and veggies for the hungry.
