We know kids can make a difference!
Ways You Can Help
1. To end hunger, you've got to learn about it and tell others that it's a problem in our state. Help spread the word that over 30,000 people a month are relying on local food pantries in Milwaukee.
2. If you are over 12, help out at our food bank by volunteering.
3. Organize a food drive at your school, church or neighborhood.
4. Raise money by having a talent show, race or other event, and donate the proceeds to Hunger Task Force.
5. Write letters to the editor of your local newspaper or public officials telling them how you're concerned about childhood hunger. Ask for help from your parents or teachers.
6. Ask for food donations for your birthday instead of presents and donate the food to the hungry.
7. Create "Ending Hunger" clubs and programs in your school.
8. Organize an Empty Bowls banquet at your school to raise awareness and money.
9. Collect pennies in each classroom in your school and see who can collect the most pennies. Donate your change so Hunger Task Force can purchase food items that aren't donated, like baby formula and cereal.
10. If you know of a family that is hungry, tell them to call 211 for help (or 773-0211 from a cell phone).
