We need volunteers to build Stockboxes for local seniors in need.

A Stockbox is a box of healthy foods that Hunger Task Force delivers to low-income seniors free of charge. Each box contains 16 nutritious items including rice, cereal, juice, beef stew, pasta and vegetables. Each month we deliver nearly 10,000 boxes to seniors, helping them stretch their budgets.

These boxes are built by hand at Hunger Task Force's south Warehouse located at 300 E. College Ave. on the old 440th Air Force base. We are looking for 15-20 groups a month and the activity is available all year round!

This is perfect activity for smaller groups, 10-20 people is ideal.

Qualifications are as follows:

• Appropriate attire is required:
  • tennis shoes or work boots are necessary
  • comfortable clothing that can get dirty
  • bring work gloves if you have them
  • Volunteers must be 13 & older
