Hmong American Friendship Association
The Hmong American Friendship Association, commonly referred to as HAFA, was founded in 1983 by Hmong refugees to help improve the quality of life for all Hmong refugee families in the Greater Milwaukee area. HAFAs goal is to promote self-sufficiency in those they serve by bridging cultural, social and language barriers and identifying resources that meet the needs of the Hmong Community and the Milwaukee community at large.

Friedens Food Pantry
Friedens Community Ministries operates a food pantry at the Marcia Coggs Human Service building on 12th and Vilet. Working in conjunction with the FoodShare program of the State of Wisconsin, Friedens accepts referrals from State case workers and Hunger Task Force staff to address the emergency food needs of the 11,000 families that are served annually at the Human Service building. All families who come to our pantry receive a three to five day supply of nutritious food.
