The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) awards grants to provide low-income seniors with coupons that can be exchanged for eligible foods, including fresh fruits and vegetables, sweet honey and fresh-cut herbs. These coupons, or vouchers, can be used at participating farmers markets, roadside stands and community supported agriculture programs.
Hunger Task Force will accept applications from seniors 60 years and older to receive $25 in vouchers for purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables at local farmers’ markets. The vouchers are provided through the federal Senior Farmers Market Voucher Nutrition Program. Applications will be accepted at five different locations on a first-come, first-served basis.
