Meet Kelsey Pederson, Volunteer Coordinator at Hunger Task Force

Dec 10, 2025

The principal strength of Hunger Task Force is its compassionate and committed staff. As an anti-hunger organization, Hunger Task Force hires staff with an array of skills and talents and the cultural competence to best serve our diverse community. Hunger Task Force is excited to welcome Kelsey Pederson to the organization!

Kelsey joins Hunger Task Force as the Volunteer Coordinator with 10 years of professional experience. In her new role contributing to Hunger Task Force’s volunteer program, she recruits, schedules and coordinates food sort and Stockbox volunteer groups to meet agency food inventory needs, leads day-to-day activities of in-house volunteer projects, and trains and educates volunteers about our Free & Local mission and community impact.

Kelsey loves the infectious positivity from the volunteers and staff that she interacts with every day. She is proud to play an integral role in the volunteer experience and ensure everyone who gives of their time has a great time doing so.

Kelsey joined the team because she is invested in the organization’s mission to ensure everyone has access to healthy food obtained with dignity. It is very important to her that her career is meaningful, impactful and positive.

Hunger Task Force is Milwaukee’s Free & Local food bank and Wisconsin’s anti-hunger leader. The organization’s core values are Dignity, Justice, Equity, Compassion and Stewardship. Hunger Task Force feeds people today by providing healthy and culturally appropriate food to hungry children, families and seniors in the community absolutely free of charge. Hunger Task Force also works to end future hunger by advocating for strong public policies and nutrition programs at the local, state and federal level.
