Nearly 18 percent of Milwaukee’s population lives below the poverty line. That’s *158,786 kids, adults and seniors. These neighbors count on food pantries and meal programs for their next meal – and those service organizations count on Hunger Task Force for free food. This year, due to the rising cost of food, housing and utilities, we ask for your time and treasure now more than ever as we’ve seen a 35% increase in community need compared to this time last year.
