For more than 40 years, Julia Means has devoted her life to caring for Milwaukee’s most vulnerable. Her partnerships with Hunger Task Force and other local organizations ensure families, seniors, and children receive the nutrition and resources they need to thrive.

Each month Hunger Task Force is honored to recognize an individual or group who go above and beyond in their service to the organization. From food sorting and building healthy food boxes for seniors to helping individuals shop the Mobile Market and harvesting at The Farm, volunteers help Hunger Task Force feed people today and support our work in ending future hunger.
After Federal Cuts Hunger Task Force Steps Up With Farm to Food Bank Fund
Hunger Task Force’s Farm grows nearly half a million pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables annually – a lifeline for the community and a welcome addition to our food bank’s offerings. On The Farm, over 70 varieties of 28 different crops are cultivated to ensure a well-rounded selection of healthy food for families in need.
