For more than 21 years, Hunger Task Force and Salvation Army Oak Creek have been working together to combat food insecurity in Milwaukee’s southern suburbs of Oak Creek, Greendale, Greenfield, Franklin and Hales Corners. In fact, nearly 50% of the food on pantry shelves is from Hunger Task Force.

Wisconsin Assembly halts vote on repeal of mask mandate
ASSOCIATED PRESS — Wisconsin’s Republican-controlled Assembly on Thursday abruptly canceled a vote to repeal Democratic Gov. Tony Evers’ mask mandate in the face of broad criticism from the state’s health, school and business leaders and out of concern it would jeopardize more than $49 million a month in federal aid.
Wisconsin Dairy Recovery program underway
WISCONSIN STATE FARMER — The newly announced Wisconsin Dairy Recovery Program—a partnership between Hunger Task Force, Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection—is in full swing. The first 2,480 gallons of fresh, whole milk were delivered to Hunger Task Force on Friday and has been distributed to local food pantries.
