
Savory Apple Chicken Sausage
A flavorful twist on a breakfast classic, these homemade chicken sausages combine sweet, diced apples with aromatic poultry seasoning for a perfectly balanced bite. Light, juicy, and easy to make, they're great fresh off the skillet or meal-prepped for the week!
Ingredients
- 1 large apple peeled and diced
- 2 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 lb ground chicken or ground turkey
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the first four ingredients. Crumble the chicken over the mixture and mix lightly and thoroughly. Shape into three-inch patties.
- In a greased skillet, cook the patties over medium until they are no longer pink.
- Serve on a whole wheat bun, a bed of lettuce, or enjoy as is!
Notes
Storage: Store cooked patties in the fridge for up to 4 days. Uncooked patties can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days before cooking. Store cooked and uncooked patties in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw uncooked patties in the fridge before cooking.
