Partner of the Month: Lamplight Farms | January 2024

Hunger Task Force isn’t just Milwaukee Free & Local food bank – we’re a community. We believe in the power of collaboration, and that’s why we’re thrilled to recognize our amazing supporters through “Partner of the Month,” a platform to celebrate the incredible local organizations, businesses and companies who join us in the fight against hunger. They donate food, volunteer their time, raise awareness and provide financial support – strengthening our work in preventing hunger and malnutrition by providing food to people in need today and by promoting social policies to achieve a hunger-free community tomorrow.

Lamplight Farms

For the past six years, Lamplight Farms has illuminated the Hunger Task Force mission with their unwavering support and dedication. Lamplight Farms, started in 1996 and known under both Lamplight Farms and their popular TIKI brand, produces torches, fire pits and other accessories. Lamplight Farms isn’t just about lighting up your backyard, they’re also dedicated to illuminating the lives of others. As a proud supporter of Hunger Task Force, they contribute both volunteers and financial resources to help fight hunger in the community.

Our partnership with Lamplight Farms began back in 2018 for their annual Day of Giving. Pausing operations to bring their entire team to the Hunger Task Force Farm, Lamplight rolled up their sleeves, got their hands dirty and connected as a team while giving back to the community.

Lamplight Farms’ generosity didn’t stop there. This initial spark ignited a vibrant partnership that continued beyond that initial Day of Giving. In addition to financial support totaling over $100,000 since 2018, we have been fortunate to have their dedicated volunteers collect food donations at the Wisconsin State Fair, plant, weed and harvest at The Farm and contribute to our Stockbox and Badger Box programs in our Volunteer Action Center.

At Hunger Task Force, we know we can’t end hunger alone. We rely on incredible partners like Lamplight Farms, whose values mirror our own. Their mission to “brighten the world around us” perfectly aligns with our commitment to ending hunger in Milwaukee, and we couldn’t be prouder to honor them as Partner of the Month for January 2024.
