Resources & Beyond and Hunger Task Force Feed Families in Need in Northern Milwaukee County

Oct 29, 2026

Hunger Task Force is proud to partner with Resources & Beyond to provide healthy and culturally diverse food absolutely free of charge to the essential community organization. On average, nearly 300 neighbors visit the food pantry monthly for assistance feeding themselves and their families.

Resources & Beyond is located in a food desert where there aren’t stores that sell healthy and affordable food. Annually, more than 2,800 area residents turn to the food pantry for healthy and fresh foods they cannot access anywhere else in their neighborhood.

“Heading into the winter holidays, we are predicting our pantry numbers will double due to the widespread food insecurity in the Brown Deer area. We are also starting to see more neighbors who no longer qualify for FoodShare due to the changes to eligibility introduced earlier this year,” shares Sen-Soray Erving, executive director of Resources & Beyond. “Having our strong partnership with Hunger Task Force enables us to maintain a steady supply of healthy and festive food for families coming to our food market.”

Resources & Beyond is located at 9155 N. 76th Street. The Food Pantry is open on Monday and Wednesday from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The organization’s hours make it convenient for working families to access the healthy food they need outside of the traditional workday.

Hunger Task Force is the only food bank in Milwaukee that does not charge for food, delivery or network membership and works diligently to ensure our neighbors in need can receive emergency food with dignity, on the day they need it and in the neighborhood they live in.

Hunger Task Force is Milwaukee’s Free & Local food bank and Wisconsin’s anti-hunger leader. The organization’s core values are Dignity, Justice, Equity, Compassion and Stewardship. Hunger Task Force feeds people today by providing healthy and culturally appropriate food to hungry children, families and seniors in the community absolutely free of charge. Hunger Task Force also works to end future hunger by advocating for strong public policies and nutrition programs at the local, state and federal level.
