End of Year Reflections from CEO Matt King: Hunger Task Force is Ending Hunger Through Community Support
As the year draws to a close, I’m reflecting on the many challenges Hunger Task Force has recently faced as an organization and am incredibly proud of our team’s commitment, adaptability and responsiveness.
I’m also extremely humbled by the generosity, compassion and concern that has outpoured from our community. I want to take a moment to personally thank you for your partnership and commitment to feeding our community – and for your trust. Because of your continued support, Hunger Task Force is able to meet the growing need for food assistance at a time when many are struggling to make ends meet.
As winter settles in, rising costs and economic challenges have strained family budgets and left many struggling to put food on the table. While the holidays can be a time of warmth and abundance for many, for others they are marked by worry, difficult choices and hardship. Our team has been working tirelessly to ensure local families, children and seniors have access to the help they need.
This year, cuts to vital nutrition programs and rising costs have placed added strain on families and seniors. While the holidays can be a time of warmth and abundance for many, for others, they are marked by worry, difficult choices and hardship. Each month, Hunger Task Force serves more than 50,000 people through our network of pantries and programs, a number that has grown by over 30% since the start of the year. Despite these challenges, our mission remains strong because of a community that stands together.
Thank you for trusting Hunger Task Force to carry out this important work with dignity and compassion. Your support helps bring nourishment and hope to our neighbors throughout the holidays and into the new year.
Humbly,

Matt King
