From Pallet to Pantry: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Healthy Food Procurement
As the Food Procurement Manager at Hunger Task Force, Kyle develops and leads a strategic approach to the agency’s food procurement, assuring an array of healthy foods are offered to our network of food pantries, meal sites and homeless shelters.

Each month Hunger Task Force is honored to recognize an individual or group who go above and beyond in their service to the organization. From food sorting and building healthy food boxes for seniors to helping individuals shop the Mobile Market and harvesting at The Farm, volunteers help Hunger Task Force feed people today and support our work in ending future hunger.

We are thrilled to welcome Dishu, Kate and Reno to their new roles at Hunger Task Force.

Dan Nemec Helped Raise Over $500,000 Through his Company’s Annual Holiday Drive
For over 31 years, Dan Nemec has led EDI’s fight against hunger with passion and purpose. From food drives to community outreach, his leadership has helped raise over $500,000 and collect over 22,000 lbs of food for families in need.

Potawatomi’s Heart of Canal Street gifts $100,000 to Hunger Task Force and other organizations
Hunger Task Force was joined by four local organizations – Running Rebels, Digital Bridge, Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center and Journey House – to receive donations for outstanding service to children and families during the pandemic. Each received a generous $100,000 gift from Heart of Canal Street. In all, more than half a million dollars were distributed through the program this season.
