Stamp Out Hunger is the largest single day food drive in the nation, running for 19 years and counting! On the second Saturday in May, letter carriers all across Wisconsin perform double-duty by collecting bags of donated food along their mail routes. The food is then delivered to pantries and meal programs.

Locally, over 1,200 letter carriers from Pioneer Branch 2 collect food along Milwaukee County mail routes. Countless volunteers collect the food at local post offices, and Hunger Task Force delivers the food free of charge to our network of pantries and meal programs. The food collected during Stamp Out Hunger creates a safety net during the summer months—last year, over 900,000 pounds of food were collected in Milwaukee County!
Thank you to Johnson Controls and Aurora Health Care for their outstanding community leadership and making Stamp Out Hunger possible in 2011. And thank you letter carriers for your hard work and dedication to fighting hunger!
