With Food Support from Hunger Task Force, Good Samaritan Outreach Center Food Pantry Serves an Average of 460 Clients Monthly
For 40 years, Hunger Task Force and the Good Samaritan Outreach Center Food Pantry have partnered to fight hunger in Milwaukee, serving an average of 460 clients each month. With rising food prices, this partnership helps families stretch their grocery budgets, especially during the back-to-school season.

Each month Hunger Task Force is honored to recognize an individual or group who go above and beyond in their service to the organization. From food sorting and building healthy food boxes for seniors to helping individuals shop the Mobile Market and harvesting at The Farm, volunteers help Hunger Task Force feed people today and support our work in ending future hunger.
A Federal Budget Update from Dr. Reno Wright, Public Policy & Advocacy Director
Congress narrowly passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) during the budget reconciliation process and it was signed into law on July 4, 2025. While it introduced some tax cuts and spending changes across many sectors, it also included significant changes to vital federal nutrition programs – particularly SNAP (known as FoodShare in Wisconsin) and Nutrition Education (SNAP-Ed) that provides programming for low-income children, seniors, veterans, people with disabilities and families.
With Food Support from Hunger Task Force, Kinship Community Food Center Has Served Nearly 4,000 Households Over the Winter Holidays
Through a 30-year partnership, Hunger Task Force and Kinship Community Food Center help households access fresh, nutritious food during the winter months, supporting families, children and older adults with dignity.

South Milwaukee Human Concerns and Hunger Task Force Work Together to Bring Aid to the Community this Holiday Season
South Milwaukee Human Concerns (SMHC), is committed to bringing help the South Milwaukee community all year round, but especially this holiday season. At any given time, South Milwaukee Human Concerns is serving one-third of the community, 275 families monthly, and over 8,500 people per year.
