Triple Impact: Hunger Task Force Volunteers Donate Time, Food and Funds for Holiday Food Drive
In our first-ever Volunteer Food Drive, held alongside the crucial Food For Families campaign, volunteers stepped up in a remarkable way by donating both food and money – alongside their usual service –to support Milwaukee families facing hunger.

Each month Hunger Task Force is honored to recognize an individual or group who go above and beyond in their service to the organization. From food sorting and building healthy food boxes for seniors to helping individuals shop the Mobile Market and harvesting at The Farm, volunteers help Hunger Task Force feed people today and support our work in ending future hunger.

Touchdowns for Hunger Celebrates 21 Years of Tackling Food Insecurity in Wisconsin
Touchdowns for Hunger, the partnership between Hunger Task Force, Sargento Foods and the Green Bay Packers, turned 21 this year! This milestone wasn’t just marked with touchdowns on the field, but also with a heartwarming celebration on Tuesday, December 19, at Hunger Task Force’s West Milwaukee headquarters.

Farm-to-Food Bank: LFPA Purchasing Program is a Win-Win for Farmers and Families
Through the Local Food Purchase Assistance (LFPA) program, Hunger Task Force is empowering local farmers and improving access to nutritious food for low-income families. With nearly $250,000 invested in fresh produce and Wisconsin meats, the program creates a reliable market for small farms while delivering high-quality, locally grown food to families across the state.

Potawatomi’s Heart of Canal Street gifts $100,000 to Hunger Task Force and other organizations
Hunger Task Force was joined by four local organizations – Running Rebels, Digital Bridge, Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center and Journey House – to receive donations for outstanding service to children and families during the pandemic. Each received a generous $100,000 gift from Heart of Canal Street. In all, more than half a million dollars were distributed through the program this season.
