Meet Our Hunger Relief Federation Member Resurrection Food Pantry of Green Bay
Resurrection Food Pantry of Green Bay has been a proud member of the Hunger Relief Federation since 2017, working tirelessly to fight local hunger. In 2024 alone, the pantry served 3,183 families and distributed 271,465 lbs. of food.

Hunger Task Force relies on the help of more than 16,000 generous volunteers every year. From food sorting and building healthy food boxes for seniors to helping individuals shop on the Mobile Market and harvesting at The Farm, their involvement ensures we can feed nearly 50,000 local children, families and seniors every month. From food sorting and building healthy food boxes for seniors to helping individuals shop the Mobile Market and harvesting at The Farm, volunteers help Hunger Task Force feed people today and support our work in ending future hunger.
A Federal Budget Update from Dr. Reno Wright, Public Policy & Advocacy Director
Congress narrowly passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) during the budget reconciliation process and it was signed into law on July 4, 2025. While it introduced some tax cuts and spending changes across many sectors, it also included significant changes to vital federal nutrition programs – particularly SNAP (known as FoodShare in Wisconsin) and Nutrition Education (SNAP-Ed) that provides programming for low-income children, seniors, veterans, people with disabilities and families.

For the last 26 years, Sherrie Tussler has served the city and state by leading efforts to end hunger in Wisconsin as the CEO of the Hunger Task Force. Tussler, who is retiring in June, said her goal has been the same since she started in her role as CEO: to defend people against hunger.
