Over 22 years at TMJ4 and an additional 18 at FOX 6, Gus not only reported on local stories but also emerged as a passionate advocate for ending hunger in the community.
For 30+ Years St. Vincent de Paul Meal Programs and Hunger Task Force Have Provided Healthy, Warm Meals for Those in Need
For over 30 years, Hunger Task Force and St. Vincent de Paul Meal Programs have partnered to fight hunger in Milwaukee—serving culturally responsive, nutritious meals to thousands in need. In 2024 alone, over 60,000 meals were served.

Hunger Task Force Introduces Box Delivery for Homebound Seniors
Hunger Task Force is excited to offer a brand new method for getting healthy, shelf-stable food items to seniors with the Stockbox DoorDash program. In partnership with United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County and DoorDash, Hunger Task Force kicks off this pilot delivery program that provides a free Stockbox to homebound, income-eligible seniors.
Hunger Task Force Receives $500K Capital Campaign Leadership Gift
Hunger Task Force is thrilled to announce a generous $500,000 capital campaign gift from the Brian A. McCarty Family Fund through the Greater Milwaukee Foundation to support the development of the new headquarters’ Nutrition Education Kitchen.
