The Stockbox program is doubling its monthly delivery caseload from 5,000 to 9,500.
If you are a senior, living in Wisconsin on a fixed income, over 60 years, or if you care about someone who fits this description, sign them up for the monthly Stockbox program! Do it today because you only have until August 31, 2010.
For a limited time, seniors, or their proxy, can sign up for the program at the offices of Hunger Task Force. We are located at 201 S. Hawley Court. Take the Hawley Road exit off of I-94 and we are just south of the expressway. Sign up hours are 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday and we will get you signed up for the program, let you know if the site nearest you for future box pick-ups, and we will load your first Stockbox directly into your car!

Stockboxes are free, pre-packaged boxes of food delivered to low-income senior housing sites and senior centers. They are filled with nutritious items that can round out a meal, offering a chance to enjoy more sit down occasions.

To find out if they qualify, residents can dial 211 from a landline, or 1-866-211-3380 from a cell phone. Qualifying residents must bring a photo ID and proof of address to their first pickup. If residents are unable to pick up their Stockbox, they may arrange for family member or friend to do so.

Callers will learn of the nearest Stockbox pickup location and date, as well as other assistance available.
