Powering Milwaukee Forward

In 2024, Hunger Task Force teamed up with GE HealthCare, GE HealthCare Foundation and the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation (CAFF) through the Powering Milwaukee Forward initiative. This new partnership supports Hunger Task Force’s Mobile Market, increasing access to healthy and nutritious foods in food deserts and high need neighborhoods.

Across our community, Powering Milwaukee Forward tackles the need for affordable housing, nutritious food, safe environments, education, and high-quality maternal healthcare in underserved Milwaukee neighborhoods. GE HealthCare, the GE HealthCare Foundation, and CAFF formed this strategic initiative that is initially committing $1 million to Milwaukee nonprofits that address social determinants of health and care for moms and babies within underserved communities in Milwaukee.

Hunger Task Force’s Mobile Market Receives Boost From Antetokounmpo Family

Stocked with fresh fruits, vegetables, and staples at half the in-store price, the Mobile Market by Hunger Task Force provides essential groceries to Milwaukee’s underserved areas. Thanks to support from the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation and GE Healthcare, this “store on wheels” continues to reach more neighborhoods, empowering residents with affordable, nutritious options and catering to cultural and dietary needs.
