Hunger Task Force nears opening of $2.6M center on Milwaukee’s south side

Hunger Task Force Inc.’s Southside Community Resource Center is expected to open in March at 802 W. Historic Mitchell Street. The facility will serve as a permanent south side location for the organization’s FoodShare outreach program.

Hunger Task Force distributes 1,500 holiday hams to local partners for families in need

In an act of generosity, Hunger Task Force distributed 1,500 hams to its emergency food network just in time for the holidays. In West Milwaukee Friday, Dec. 20, Hunger Task Force’s 65 network partners picked up free hams, which will then go to local seniors and families facing the greatest need.

The Mobile Market makes stops throughout Milwaukee County year-round to offer groceries at a significant discount to ensure affordability. It started in 2016 as a response to a lack of access to healthy food throughout several areas of Milwaukee.

BelAir Cantina Launches Limited-Time-Only Mission Mushroom Taco to Support Hunger Task Force

BelAir Cantina is partnering with Hunger Task Force for its Powered by Tacos campaign. Their new vegan Mission Mushroom taco will be available until spring 2025, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the food bank. By enjoying this delicious taco, customers can support a great cause.

South Milwaukee Human Concerns and Hunger Task Force Work Together to Bring Aid to the Community this Holiday Season

South Milwaukee Human Concerns (SMHC), is committed to bringing help the South Milwaukee community all year round, but especially this holiday season. At any given time, South Milwaukee Human Concerns is serving one-third of the community, 275 families monthly, and over 8,500 people per year.

Hunger Task Force’s Mobile Market Receives Boost From Antetokounmpo Family

Stocked with fresh fruits, vegetables, and staples at half the in-store price, the Mobile Market by Hunger Task Force provides essential groceries to Milwaukee’s underserved areas. Thanks to support from the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation and GE Healthcare, this “store on wheels” continues to reach more neighborhoods, empowering residents with affordable, nutritious options and catering to cultural and dietary needs.
